Tiger Cues – OCTAN

A genuine North American mountain Ash shafted two-piece cue, 3/4 jointed and hand spliced with African Ebony. The butt is 'six way' hand spliced with American Holly, Bloodwood and additional Macassar Brown African ebony. This cue has two differing types of Ebony, Black and Brown. This cue has lovely clean bold lines of Redy Orange, Cream and Black and Brown.

Takes its name from a faint constellation in the deep southern sky. Its name is Latin for the eighth part of a circle but is names after the octant, a navigational instrument.

All of our cues are shipped in ready to play condition, we don't cut corners! The cue is fitted with a Tiger Cues - Black tip, shaped perfectly ready prepared for play. You don't need to do anything to the cue other than apply your favourite chalk!

The butt and shaft are finished with two differing cue finishing methods, with the butt finish being a little more robust. The entire finish will feel sleek and smooth whilst holding to allow for effortless shot making. We do not use any lacquer, just wood polish and sealants!

Our cue finish is a method taught to us by the legendary UK cue maker Kevin Muncaster (now retired) formerly of Barracuda and North West Cues. Arguably one of the UKs best ever cue makers, Kev mastered his finish over the past 30 years of cue making, and it really does transform a cue. Kevin has been working with Tiger Cues for over a decade now passing on his cue making, customization and repair knowledge to Darryl (our head cue maker) and the rest of the Tiger Cues team. You cannot buy instruction like it! All of Darryl and the teams cue work is now based on the techniques and tips handed down to us by Kev.
