Our Elite Pro cues are our absolute best! We use only the best shafts (Maple or Ash) and use only the best ornate feature woods for splice work in the cue butt.
We replace the black ebony used in our standard range with the far more expensive Dark Brown 'Macassar' ebony. This type of ebony is the finest available for cue making.
The Elite Pro cue shafts are professional grade in both specification and aesthetics.
The professional grade Ash shafts will have no "O" grain marks with evenly spaced minimal grain chevrons from ebony splice to tip. The shafts are a 9 or 10 on the strength and stiffness scale.
The professional grade Maple shafts will have no pin knots or hard spots and there will be no visible mineral or sugar marks. The shafts are a 9 or 10 on the strength and stiffness scale.
The Macassar ebony brings with it beautiful cloudy dark brown swirls which will age over the years and slowly reveal more and more character from the swirling grain in the wood. For more information on the differences between these ebony type's please read through the "Our Woods" page above.
